PArkway STARS:

Serving THrough ARts & REcreation

Parkway STAR's was created in response to the gifts and talents of our congregation and a desire to demonstrate God's Grace in a creatively different way. Through performing arts, people young and old are able to share their spiritual gifts with the community so that we can share the light of Christ in diverse ways.

Parkway STAR's Presents...

Parkway is putting on a 2019 Fall Musical Revue called "Life Choices": A show using songs from musical theatre to tell stories about making choices – sometimes good choices, sometimes bad choices, sometimes choices in between – and exploring what it is to be human.

Who: All ages. For auditions, Actors are asked to prepare a song from a musical that shows range or favorite style and bring either sheet music (preferred) or recorded accompaniment. An accompanist will be present at auditions for actors with sheet music.

How: After auditions, actors will be assigned a solo and/or ensemble number for the performance and provided sheet music and a rehearsal track to work with. Actors will be asked to spend the first couple of weeks learning the song(s) on their own and then individual rehearsals will be scheduled for numbers to minimize required rehearsal time. The week of the show, actors will be required to attend 3 rehearsals (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening) to put everything together and the performances will be held on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16.
